October 18th, 2006 - We have recently completed a much needed hardware upgrade to improve performance and reliability of the site.

A recent disk drive failure provided an opportunity to rebuild the site onto a different operating system and hardware platform. These changes will offer increased performance and reliablity for our users.

Some visitors may have noticed intermittent site outages and sporatic errors in prior weeks. We are confident that these outages and errors are now resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience.

September 26th, 2005 - We have introduced some new and important site changes. Secure voting and review posting is now available. Any user who wishes to participate in voting and artist reviews can only do so after logging in with a valid username and password. We are confident that these new features will help to improve the overall quality and value of our site.

August 6th, 2005 - gigzter.com was recently profiled on the July 31st edition of CTV Webmania TV. Please visit Webmania TV for a transcript of the coverage.

"Where do up and coming Canadian bands and solo artists get exposure so they can get their big break? Gigzter dot com lets you check out the next big stars before everyone else... There are write ups on the performers and sample audio clips. The music is pretty wide ranging from acoustic to alternative rock to country to reggaeand from home-grown music..."

June 23rd, 2005 - Summer is officially here and gigzter.com is back in "full swing". In the last half of June alone we have more artist registrations than both April and May combined. It must be something in the air, it seems that everyone is pumped and raring to go! Myself included.

We have 'Live 8' happening next week, the Burlington and Oakville Music Festivals just past...Canada Day is coming up...Independence Day for our Southern friends. You get my drift. It's summer and it's going to be a blast!

On another note, I'd like to personally congratulate Aaron Winters for taking the charts by storm and giving Forgery a 'run for their money' thus far. In only a few short months Aaron has climbed up to 2nd place.

We may be looking at having a merchants area soon where members and fans can buy gigzter T-Shirts and stuff. If it wasn't for the debate between 'Black on White' or 'Orange on Black', I'd be wearing mine now!

Anyway, we'd like to wish all the best of a summer season to our members and visitors. May you enjoy every festivity that our short Canadian Summer has to offer!

Regards,
Steve Bihari

March 10th, 2005 - If you are a prior visitor to the site and are experiencing strange page formatting problems please delete your browser cache. We have recently made some changes to the front page of the site. Because our web server is configured to set cache timers on all graphics files, any modifications to server-side graphics may not take effect until the older files are deleted off the client.

In Internet Explorer, browser cache can be deleted from Tools->Internet Options. Click the "Delete Files" button in the center of the page, and then select "Delete All Offline Content". Click "Okay", reload/refresh the page and you should be all set.

We have improved the "look n' feel" a little of the front page. The artist profile pages will be changing soon too!

Thank you for your understanding.

February 1st, 2005 - After a few weeks of hiatus over the holidays we are pleased to announce that we're back in "full swing" and plan to aggressively bring new artists on board in 2005. In addition, we will be putting forth measures to attract many more visitors to the site.

We'd like to thank all our loyal fans and members for helping to "kickstart" the launch of gigzter.com in 2004. Through the last nine (9) weeks of '04, fifteen talented artists had registered with us. At the same time we'd also witnessed dramatic growth in the number of daily visitors.
That said, we indeed have a lot of work ahead of us this year. In striving to become the portal of choice for online, original music enthusiasts, we have outlined the following high-level objectives for 2005:

1) Accelerate artist additions and attract dozens of daily visitors - target of 100+ members by year end

2) Offer additional, optional, paid service packages for new and existing members

3) Introduce new features to improve usability and functionality of the site

4) Consider hosting events and offer promotions to provide additional incentives for our visitors and members

5) Implement needed hardware and bandwidth upgrades to accomodate growth and improve existing performance

Again, special thanks to all our members and visitors for a successful launch. We wish you all the best in 2005 - and members, good luck on the gigzter Charts!

Looking forward to the year ahead...
